Tim Nguoi - Jennifer Wilson 15-12-2006

[ 06:57 15 12 2006 ] Jennifer Wilson

I am hoping to contact Minh Tam Nguyen, formally of MinhTam's Immigration Services (Lakemba, NSW) with reference to a donation he made to the National Museum of Australia in 1991.

Nguyen worked as an immigration consultant for a number of years in Brisbane and Lakemba. In 1991 he donated a musical instrument to the National Museum, which he played at a number of events around Australia. He was featured on Channel 7 in 1984 with the dan tre. A refugee, Nguyen made the bamboo musical instrument on his way to Australia, arriving in December 1982.

Unfortunately the National Museum has lost contact with Nguyen. I would like to ask Nguyen or one of his family members some questions about the instrument and his journey to Australia. Could you suggest a contact who may know Nguyen's current location and a way of contacting him? My details are included below.

Yours sincerely,

Jennifer Wilson
